The purpose of this Law is regulation of the relations in the field of protection of children from information doing harm to their health.
The legislation on protection of children from information doing harm to their health consists of this Law and other acts of the legislation.
If the international treaty of the Republic of Uzbekistan establishes other rules, than those which are stipulated by the legislation the Republic of Uzbekistan about protection of children from information doing harm to their health then are applied rules of the international treaty.
This law governs the relations connected with protection of children from information doing harm to their health.
Operation of this Law does not extend to the relations in the field of turnover of the information products which are containing scientific, scientific and technical, statistical information or having considerable historical, art or other cultural value for society.
In this Law the following basic concepts are applied:
information products - products of mass media intended for turnover in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, printed materials, audiovisual products on any kinds of carriers, the information distributed with use of the software, placed in networks of telecommunications, including on the world information Internet, computer games, and also information distributed by means of spectacular actions;
