About fight against terrorism
The purpose of this Law is regulation of the relations in the field of fight against terrorism.
The main objectives of this Law are safety of the personality, society and state from terrorism, protection of sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state, preserving the civil world and national consent.
In this Law the following basic concepts are applied:
the hostage - the physical person captured or withheld by terrorists for the purpose of compulsion of state governing bodies, international organizations, and also individuals to make or refrain from making of any action as conditions of release of the captured or withheld person;
terrorism - the violence, threat of its application or other criminal actions creating danger of life, to health of the personality, destruction (damage) of property and other material objects and the states directed to compulsion of the international organization, physical person or legal entity to make or refrain from making of any actions, complication of the international relations, violation of sovereignty, territorial integrity, undermining safety of the state, provocation of armed conflicts, intimidation of the population, destabilization of social and political situation, for achievement of political, religious, ideological and other goals, responsibility for which is provided by the Criminal code of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
terrorism financing - the activities aimed at providing existence, functioning, financing of the terrorist organization, trip abroad or movement through the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan for participation in terrorist activities, preparation and making of act of terrorism, direct or indirect provision or collection of any means, resources, other services to the terrorist organizations or persons helping or participating in terrorist activities;
