1. The rules of passing of military service in Armed Forces, other troops and military forming of the Republic of Kazakhstan approved by the above-named Decree to add with Item 86-1 of the following content:

"86-1. Military rank of the highest officers:

the major general (rear admiral) can be appropriated to the serviceman after three years of stay in colonelcy (the captain of the first rank) to positions, prior position of the highest officers, and at least one year of service to positions of the highest officers;

the lieutenant general (vice admiral) can be appropriated to the serviceman staying in military rank of the major general (rear admiral) at least three years;

the colonel general (admiral) can be appropriated to the serviceman staying in military rank of the lieutenant general (vice admiral) at least three years.

According to the decision of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan the highest military rank can be given ahead of schedule.".
