Determination of their quantity, position assignment and dismissal are performed by the President of Ukraine on representation of the Chairman of Service of foreign intelligence of Ukraine.

The general structure of Service of foreign intelligence of Ukraine is constituted by divisions of agential and technical investigation, operating-technical, information and analytical, own safety, and also other divisions according to certain President of Ukraine the Organizational structure of Service of foreign intelligence of Ukraine.
