About introduction change and amendment in some legal acts

For the purpose of transposition of the Directive 92/43/EEC of Council of May 21, 1992 about protection of natural habitats, and also the wild flora and fauna published in the Official magazine of the European Union No. 206 of July 22, 1992

The Parliament adopts this organic law.

Art. I. - In the Law No. 94/2007 on ecological network (Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2007, Art. No. 90-93, 395), with subsequent changes, to make the following changes and additions:

1. Add the law with preamble of the following content:

"This law is partial transposition of provisions of the Directive 92/43/EEC of Council on protection of natural habitats, and also the wild flora and fauna published in the Official magazine of the European Union No. 206 of July 22, 1992.".

2. State Article 2 in the following edition:

"Article 2. Basic concepts

In this law the following basic concepts are used:

ecological corridor - linear or linearly - intermittent element which provides functional and physical communication between elements of ecological network, and also their integrity on a large scale;

elements of ecological network - the territories of ecological network having additional functional purpose for preserving biological and landscape diversity: kernel zones, buffer zones, ecological corridors, zones of ecological restoration;

the card of ecological network - space model which determines arrangement of functional elements of ecological network;

natural heritage - set of physiographic, vegetable, animal and biocenotic components and structures of the environment which ecological, economic, scientific, biogenic, improving, landscape and rekreativny importance and value play important role in question of preserving vegetable and animal biological diversity, functional integrity of ecosystems, the preserving gene pool of plant and animal life, and also for satisfaction connected with life, welfare, culture and civilization of requirements present and future generations;
