This Law establishes responsibility of subjects of business activity for untimely introduction of payment for the consumed utilities and content of the territories, adjacent to houses.

Article 1. Determine that the subjects of business activity using the non-residential houses and rooms belonging to them by the property right or leased by them based on the agreement for carrying out these activities:

pay utilities for rates which in the procedure established by the legislation deduct all-in cost of their provision and pro rata share of maintenance costs of the territories, adjacent to the house;

pay penalty fee in the amount of one percent from the amount of overdue payment for each day of delay for untimely calculations for the consumed utilities if other size of penalty fee is not established by the agreement of the parties, but no more than 100 percent of total amount of debt.

The compulsory provision of agreements on provision of utilities and content of the territories, adjacent to houses, is ensuring accomplishment of obligations according to the current legislation of Ukraine.

Article 2. This Law becomes effective since July 1, 1999.

Before reduction of regulatory legal acts in compliance with the provisions of the law of Ukraine "About responsibility of subjects of business activity for untimely introduction of payment for the consumed utilities and content of the territories, adjacent to houses" they act in the part which is not contradicting this Law.

To the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in two-month time from the date of publication of the Law of Ukraine "About responsibility of subjects of business activity for untimely introduction of payment for the consumed utilities and content of the territories, adjacent to houses" to bring the regulatory legal acts into accord with this Law.
