About measures for further simplification of procedure for import and export of cash foreign currency by physical persons

For the purpose of simplification of procedure for import and export of cash foreign currency by physical persons through customs border of the Republic of Uzbekistan:

1. Cancel since January 1, 2018:

procedure for obligatory declaring in writing physical persons of cash foreign currency when importing to the Republic of Uzbekistan and export from the Republic of Uzbekistan within the amount equal or not exceeding in equivalent of 2 000 (two thousand) US dollars;

issue of the export permit by commercial banks by physical persons of cash foreign currency out of limits of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

2. Determine that export of cash foreign currency by physical persons out of limits of the Republic of Uzbekistan is performed without any permissions within the amount equal or not exceeding in equivalent of 5 000 (five thousand) US dollars.

Export over the determined sum is performed:

residents - based on permission of the Central bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

nonresidents - based on the passenger customs declaration completed in case of entry into the Republic of Uzbekistan in which the amount of cash foreign currency is specified at least amount of the exported cash foreign currency.

In case of export of cash foreign currency over the determined sum nonresidents - prize-winners or participants of the competitions, tenders and the Olympic Games organized in the republic in accordance with the established procedure the basis for export of this cash foreign currency by them is the document confirming legality of receipt of cash foreign currency.

3. Import of cash foreign currency by physical persons to the Republic of Uzbekistan is performed without restrictions.
