About modification and amendments in the Law on nationality of the Republic of Moldova No. 1024/2000

The Parliament adopts this organic law.

Art. I. – In the Law on nationality of the Republic of Moldova No. 1024/2000 (repeated publication: The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, special release of December 9, 2005), with subsequent changes and amendments to make the following changes and additions:

1. In article 1 to add the concept "descendant" after the words "on the descending line" with the words "to the third degree of relationship (children, grandsons, great-grandsons)".

2. In Article 5 of the word "competent authority" shall be replaced with words "competent authorities".

3. In Item c) parts (1) article 10 change concerns only the text in state language.

4. In Article 11:

in part (1):

If parents do not reach agreement, the issue of belonging of the child to nationality of the Republic of Moldova is resolved by degree of jurisdiction proceeding from its interests. At the same time, if to the child 14 years were performed, its notarized consent is necessary.".
