About increase in oil extraction and natural gas in the Kyrgyz Republic

For the purpose of further development of production and oil refining and natural gas, expansion of the exploration works and source of raw materials of hydrocarbonic raw material in the Kyrgyz Republic promoting reducing supply rates of import energy carriers and creation of conditions for ensuring economic and political independence of the country I decide:

1. Within the actions of the Complex Basis of Development of the Kyrgyz Republic till 2010 to consider expansion of exploration works on search of hydrocarbonic raw material and increase in oil extraction and natural gas of one of priority tasks in development of economy of the Kyrgyz Republic.

2. To the government of the Kyrgyz Republic:

- in two-month time to develop and approve the program of expansion of exploration works on search of hydrocarbonic raw material, development of production and oil refining and gas in the Kyrgyz Republic, having provided in it projects of business cooperation with foreign partners; enhancement of basic conditions of attraction of foreign investments for carrying out oil and gas search works; development of domestic oil processing industry and other measures for intensification of this sphere;

- bring the decisions into accord with this Decree.

3. To render the ministries and administrative departments, local public administrations and local government bodies every possible assistance and support to the companies conducting geological exploration and development of oil and gas deposits in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.

4. To impose control of execution of this Decree on department of economic policy of Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.

5. This Decree becomes effective from the date of publication.
