About introduction of amendments to the Law of Ukraine "About protection of cultural heritage" concerning provision to objects of underwater cultural heritage of the status of sea memorial

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

I. Introduce in the Law of Ukraine "About protection of cultural heritage" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2000, No. 39, Art. 333 with subsequent changes) the following changes:

1. Add Article 1 with the paragraph twenty third the following content:

"sea memorial - object of underwater cultural heritage, the place of mass death of people to which the special status is provided that assumes its exclusive immunity, except requirements of scientific research or inventory count".

2. To add article 13 after part one with new part of such content:

"2. The list of objects of underwater cultural heritage with the status of sea memorial is determined by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine".

With respect thereto the second to consider part part three.

3. To add article 17 after part two with new part of such content:

"The property of sea memorial is determined by limits of national jurisdiciton (in exclusive (sea) economic zone, the territorial sea and internal waters of Ukraine)".

With respect thereto speak rapidly third - to consider the fifth respectively parts four - the sixth.

4. Add Article 30 with part five of such content:

"On objects of underwater cultural heritage with the status of sea memorial maintaining any forms of activities, including underwater and excursion, except requirements of scientific research or inventory count is forbidden".

5. Add Article 31 with part three of the following content:

"3. Borders of placement of objects of underwater cultural heritage with the status of sea memorial are determined by the corresponding scientific project documentation".

II. Final provisions

1. This Law becomes effective from the date of, its publication following behind day.

2. To the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in three-months time from the date of publication of this Law:
