About tests and branding of products from precious metals
The purpose of this Law is regulation of the relations in range of definition of tests and branding of products from the precious metals intended for realization.
The legislation on tests and branding of products from precious metals consists of this Law and other acts of the legislation.
If the international treaty of the Republic of Uzbekistan establishes other rules, than those which are stipulated by the legislation the Republic of Uzbekistan about tests and branding of products from precious metals then are applied rules of the international treaty.
The products from precious metals which are subject to branding are jewelry, gold leaf, sugary silver and gold disks for dental products.
From precious metals products from gold, silver, platinum and metals of platinum group (palladium, iridium, rhodium, ruthenium and osmium) having test and subjects to branding according to the procedure, established by the legislation are considered as jewelry.
Gold leaf represents gold sheets micron 0,12 thickness.
Sugary silver represents silver sheets micron 0,32 thickness.
Gold leaf and sugary silver have test and are branded according to the procedure, established by the legislation.
Gold leaf and sugary silver use for decorative finishing of different objects and other purposes.
