About additional measures for the accelerated development of fruit-and-vegetable growing in the Republic of Uzbekistan

In the republic the complex measures directed to production expansion, storage, conversion and export of fruit and vegetable products are implemented.

For projects implementation on intensive development of fruit-and-vegetable growing acreage are significantly expanded, capacities on storage and conversion of fruit and vegetable products are created, financial resources, including means of the international financial institutions actively are attracted.

At the same time, the high level of the competition in the foreign markets of fruit and vegetable products requires the accelerated implementation of modern methods of agrotechnology, and also process management of production and the product delivery.

However, number of negative factors interferes with effective use of potential and development of the agro-industrial sphere of the country among which:

the first, not full use of market mechanisms of interaction of producers and suppliers of fruit and vegetable products in questions of placement of the crops demanded in the market of fruit and vegetable cultures and their grades;

the second, the low agreement discipline of small agricultural producers which is expressed in untimely, low-quality, incomplete accomplishment or at all failure to carry out of the signed contracts;

third, lack of favorable conditions for accumulating of financial resources for mechanization of agricultural work, implementation of modern intensive technologies, first of all water saving, expansions of capacities of storage and transportation, independent entry of producers of agricultural products into foreign markets;

the fourth, unsatisfactory security of producers of agricultural products with seeds, seedling and saplings of the high-yielding grades and required quality demanded in the markets;

the fifth, the low level of system of the training which is not meeting real needs of producers of agricultural products including due to the lack of international cooperation on training of the highly skilled, having modern knowledge specialists of average and the top management;
