About mitigation of consequences of drought

Article 1. Law purpose

This Law governs the relations connected with implementation of state policy on mitigation of consequences of drought in the Republic of Armenia and establishes the principles of program execution of mitigation of consequences of drought.

Article 2. Legislation on mitigation of consequences of drought

Process of mitigation of consequences of drought and the related relations are governed by this Law and other legal acts.

Article 3. The program principles of state policy on mitigation of consequences of drought

1. Work on mitigation of consequences of drought is carried out in terms and according to the procedure which are established by the Program of mitigation of consequences of drought (further - the Program).

2. The program which establishes proportions of its implementation is developed by the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

3. The financing amount necessary for accomplishment of the Program is reflected in account part of the government budget for the corresponding year.

Article 4. Contents of the Program

The program includes:

a) main objectives;

b) amounts and the schedule of implementation of the planned works - on the regions which were affected by drought;

c) the principles, amounts and sources of financing of the planned works;

d) the principles of accomplishment of the Program and priorities of the planned works;

e) the help provided to the population, the business entities and municipalities which were affected by drought;

e) procedure for control of process of implementation of works on mitigation of consequences of drought and their financing (including due to the help received from foreign states and the international organizations);
