About ecological education and education

This Law regulates the principles, legal, organizational and financial and economic basis of state policy in the field of life-long ecological education and education.

Implementation by each person of the constitutional obligations on protection of the surrounding environment for the purpose of ecological ensuring constitutional right of the person to live in favorable ecologically safe, to the environment and requires the solution of the major national objective in the Republic of Armenia from citizens of ecological culture which is acquired in the course of life-long ecological education.

Chapter 1. General provisions

Article 1. Basic concepts of the Law

In this Law the following basic concepts are used:

state policy in the field of life-long ecological education - the activities of authorized bodies of public administration directed to creation of conditions for implementation of life-long ecological education, to activities of the state bodies interested public organizations and physical persons on forming of ecological culture of the personality and society;

ecological education - the continuous process sent on transfer of ecological knowledge to individuals and the population on ecological education, to rooting of ecological culture, environmental protection, environmental management and ecological safety, on their correct and reasonable orientation, manifestation of capabilities and forming of behavior;

ecological education - basis and integral part of ecological culture, the continuous, systematized process directed to increase in level is moral the conscious relation to the environment which gives the chance to citizens to acquire knowledge and abilities, to create skills and to find capabilities, to show moral qualities and behavior in the course of interference with the nature;

ecological knowledge - the sphere of public knowledge directed to circumspect environmental management and providing the surrounding environment, safe for health of the person;
