About modification and amendments in the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "About the higher and postgraduate professional education"

Article 1. Bring in the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan of May 19, 2009 "About the higher and postgraduate professional education" (Akhbori of Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, 2009, No. 5, Art. 338; 2014, No. 7, h 2, Art. 423; 2016, No. 7, Art. 628; 2017, Art. No. 7-9, 584) following changes and amendments:

1. In Article 2:

- state paragraph two in the following edition:

"-the graduate student - person with higher education studying in postgraduate study for the purpose of preparation of the thesis and receipt of academic degree of the candidate of science;";

- word in paragraph three "state educational" and to "the directions of preparation" respectively shall be replaced with words "state" and to "the directions of education";

- to state the paragraph of the seventh in the following edition:

"-the doctor of philosophy (PhD) - the doctor in the specialty - the highest academic degree awarded to persons who mastered professional programs of doctoral studies for certain specialty after protection of the corresponding scientific thesis;";

- add with paragraphs the eighth and ninth the following content:

"-the doctoral candidate in the specialty - person having extent of higher education of the master, for medical specialties - the master - the clinical intern, studying in doctoral studies for the purpose of preparation of the scientific thesis for receipt of degree of the doctor of philosophy (PhD) - doctors in the specialty;
