About introduction of amendments to the Criminal code of the Republic of Armenia

Article 1. In article 76 of the Criminal code of the Republic of Armenia of April 18, 2003 (further - the Code):
1) regarding 1 word "the conclusions of the independent commission on questions of parole from punishment execution, replacement of unexpired part of punishment with softer type of punishment (further - the Independent commission)" shall be replaced with words "reports of Criminal and executive service and Service of probation";
2) part 5.1 to recognize invalid.
Article 2. To state part 1 of article 77 of the Code in the following edition:
"1. Can replace unexpired part of punishment of person serving sentence for crime of small or average weight, court with softer type of punishment taking into account the circumstances provided by parts 1.1 and 1.2 of article 76 of this Code, reports on them of Criminal and executive service and Service of probation. In case of replacement of unexpired part of punishment with softer type of punishment the convict is not exempted from the additional punishment imposed to it.".
Article 3. Final part and transitional provisions:
1. This Law becomes effective for the tenth day after its official publication.
