"8. In case of acceptance on service in law-enforcement bodies of Turkmenistan of the citizen who serves or took place in Armed Forces, other troops and military bodies of Turkmenistan having military rank to it the special rank on the basis of the conclusion of certifying commission taking into account the military rank which is available for it is given.

At the same time to the citizen employed in law-enforcement bodies, calculation of service life in law-enforcement bodies for award of pension on length of service, calculations of service life in special rank, rewardings with the state awards, departmental distinctions and other awards, payments of additional length-of-service allowances are made taking into account service life in Armed Forces, other troops, military bodies and law-enforcement bodies of Turkmenistan, and also the service life estimated for this period as preferential.".

II. This Law becomes effective from the date of its official publication.
