About state regulation of development of agricultural industry *

This Law determines legal, economic, social and organizational bases of state regulation of development of agricultural industry in Turkmenistan.

Chapter I. General provisions

Article 1. Basic concepts

In this Law the following basic concepts are used:

1) the food market – the address of agricultural products and food, raw materials, and also material resources for production of agricultural products and food, goods;

2) the state commodity intervention – the organization of mass realization in the market of agricultural products and food, goods and raw materials from intervention fund for the purpose of price stabilization in the market of agricultural products and food, goods and raw materials;

3) the state purchasing intervention – purchase by the state of agricultural products and food, goods and raw materials for the purpose of price stabilization in the market of agricultural products and food, goods and raw materials;

4) intervention fund – fund of agricultural products and the food, goods and raw materials which was purchased from producers of agricultural products for the purpose of price stabilization in the market of agricultural products and food, goods and raw materials;

5) price level – the indicator corresponding to average prices of agricultural products and food, goods in certain time and (or) in certain territory;

6) the State program in the field of state regulation of development of agricultural industry – the main directions of development of production of agricultural and forestry products and food, goods regulating the food market of Turkmenistan and establishing financial, material resources and mechanisms of realization of the state food policy;

7) agricultural products – products, goods and the raw materials received as a result of cultivation of crops and cultivation of farm animals, birds, fishes and bees;

8) producers of agricultural products – the legal entities and physical persons performing production and conversion of agricultural products and food, goods and raw materials according to the legislation of Turkmenistan;
