About military cooperation

The Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Uzbekistan which are hereinafter referred to as with the Parties

based on the principles of equality, mutual respect and reciprocity,

for the purpose of development of friendship in military area and deepenings of mutual understanding between military departments of both states,

agreed as follows:

Article 1 Purpose

The purpose of this agreement is creation of basis for military cooperation between the Parties within the powers determined by national legal systems of their states.

Article 2 Status of the Agreement

This agreement does not contradict national legal systems of the states and provisions of international treaties which participants are the states of the Parties.

Article 3 of the Sphere of cooperation

The parties perform cooperation according to the national legal system of the states in the following areas:

international security and defense policy;

comprehensive training of troops;

training of the military personnel and specialists, training of research and educational personnel;

culture and sport.

By mutual consent of the Party can cooperate in other spheres which correspond to mutual interests.

Article 4 of Form of cooperation

The cooperation between the Parties is performed in the following forms:

official visits, working meetings and consultations of delegations of the Parties;

participation in conferences and seminars, and also actions for operational and combat training at the bilateral and multilateral levels;

experience exchange and information between military departments of the Parties;

implementation of other forms of cooperation which are mutually approved by the Parties.
