About activities of boundary representatives

The government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic which further are referred to as with the Parties

being guided by the principles of international law about territorial integrity and inviolability of Frontiers,

based on the Contract on eternal friendship between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic of December 24, 1996,

aiming to develop good-neighbourhood and to support cooperation on providing the mode of Frontier between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic (further - Frontier),

recognizing the inalienable right of both independent states, to take measures for protection of the Frontiers,

noting need of participation of boundary representatives of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic for the prevention of borderline cases and conflicts, and in case of their origin - in ensuring bystry investigation and settlement of those,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

1. This agreement regulates activities of boundary agents of the parties for the solution of the questions connected with settlement of borderline cases and conflicts on Frontier.

2. Boundary representatives and deputy boundary representatives of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic are appointed according to the national legal system of the states of the Parties. Inform each other on appointment of boundary representatives and their deputies of the Party through diplomatic channels with indication of their surnames, names and otechestvo, military ranks, sites of activities and places of stay.

In case of fulfillment of duties of boundary representatives their deputies have the rights which are granted to boundary representatives.
