Only in 2017 the material and technical resources of 11 medico-social organizations are strengthened, the medico-public assistance covers 15 thousand lonely aged, pensioners and persons with disability, about 21 thousand persons with disability are provided with technical means of rehabilitation and prosthetic and orthopedic products, 35 thousand persons completed improvement course in sanatoria and rehabilitation services are rendered to more than 20 thousand persons.
At the same time insufficient development of material and technical resources and infrastructure of medico-social organizations does not allow to expand acceptance of persons in them with disability and other socially vulnerable categories of the population, to implement advanced methods of medico-social resettlement.
The used production technologies of prosthetic and orthopedic products and technical means of rehabilitation morally and physically became outdated, innovative technologies take root insufficiently and research maintenance in this sphere develops.
For the purpose of improvement of quality and efficiency of the medico-public assistance to socially vulnerable categories of the population, enhancement of production technologies of prosthetic and orthopedic products and technical means of rehabilitation, and also in pursuance of the Presidential decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan of December 1, 2017 No. UP-5270 "About Measures for Cardinal Enhancement of System of the State Support of Persons with Disability":
