Article 1

Bring in the Federal Law of September 27, 2013 No. 253-FZ "About the Russian Academy of Sciences, reorganization of the state academies of Sciences and modification of separate legal acts of the Russian Federation" (The Russian Federation Code, 2013, No. 39, Art. 4883; 2017, No. 31, Art. 4768) following changes:

Part 3 of Article 2 to state 1) in the following edition:

"3. The Russian Academy of Sciences performs the activities for the purpose of ensuring succession and coordination:

1) the basic scientific research and exploratory scientific research conducted in the major directions natural, technical, medical, agricultural, public and the humanities;

2) the scientific research realized in the field of defense industry complex for the benefit of defense of the country and safety of the state;

3) expert scientific ensuring activities of public authorities of the Russian Federation;

4) scientific and methodical management of scientific and scientific and technical activities of the scientific organizations and educational organizations of the higher education.";

2) in Article 6:

a) add with Item 1.1 of the following content:

"1. 1) forecasting of the main directions of scientific, scientific and technological and social and economic development of the Russian Federation;";

b) add with Item 1.2 of the following content:

"1. 2) scientific and methodical management of scientific and scientific and technical activities of the scientific organizations and educational organizations of the higher education;";

c) state item 4 in the following edition:

"4) distribution of scientific knowledge, increase in prestige of science, promoting of achievements of science and technology;";
