About measures for further enhancement of state policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of cooperation with the compatriots living abroad

For last years considerable work on development of permanent dialogue and cooperation with the compatriots living abroad (further - compatriots), to encouragement of their participation in the reforms undertaken in the country, and also assistance of full and comprehensive realization of their rights and interests is done.

Now our many compatriots make worthy and notable contribution to development of economy, the social sphere, science, culture, sport and other directions, increase in the authority of the historical Homeland - Uzbekistan, and also strengthening of its relations with the outside world.

At the same time, despite the unconditional importance and the growing relevance of development of bonds with compatriots, remains number of the problems interfering effective cooperation and full involvement of their potential in high-quality improvement of the undertaken reforms, among which:

low level of productivity and availability of fragmentariness in the organization of contacts of state bodies and the organizations with compatriots;

inefficient use of potential of compatriots in implementation of priority economic, social, investment, scientific and educational, cultural and other projects and programs;

lack of complex and long-term strategy of support of the organization activity of compatriots directed to preserving and promoting of Uzbek, culture and traditions;

insufficient attention to work with the youth of Uzbekistan studying abroad, not co-ordination of system of their employment after return to the country.

For the purpose of creation of the efficient system of cooperation with compatriots expected the long-term period and also consecutive realization of tasks of Strategy of actions in five priority directions of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017 - 2021:
