The government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan which are hereinafter referred to as with the Parties
in view of that the states of the Parties are members of International Atomic Energy Agency and agreement parties about non-proliferation of nuclear weapon of July 1, 1968,
considering that the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan are participants of the Convention on physical protection of nuclear material of October 26, 1979, the Integrated convention on safety of the treatment of the fulfilled fuel and on safety of the treatment of radioactive waste of September 5, 1997 and the International medical and sanitary rules of May 23, 2005,
being guided by the Agreement between the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States on the basic principles of cooperation in the field of peaceful use of atomic energy of June 26, 1992, the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on sci-tech cooperation in the field of peaceful use of atomic energy of December 22, 1997,
understanding that use of atomic energy in the peace purposes, and also ensuring nuclear and radiation safety are important factors of ensuring social and economic development of the states of the Parties,
aiming to make contribution to further development of cooperation between the states of the Parties in the field of use of atomic energy in the peace purposes,
agreed as follows:
The terms used in this agreement have the values specified in the document of International Atomic Energy Agency containing the guidelines of export of nuclear material, the equipment and INFCIRC/254/Part 1 technology and INFCIRC/254/Part 2, taking into account the changes made to this document. Any such change is valid within this agreement only if both Parties inform each other in writing through diplomatic channels that they accept such change.
