About modification and amendments in the Law of the Republic of Armenia "About content of detainees and the arrested persons"

Article 1. In the last part of article 10 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia "About content of detainees and the arrested persons" (of February 6, 2002, ZR-305, further - the Law) the words "the head of authorized body of public administration (further-authorized body)" shall be replaced with words "the Government of the Republic of Armenia".
Article 2. To state article 11 of the Law in the following edition:
"Article 11. Regulations in case of emergency situation in the place of content of detainees or in the place of content of arrested
In case of natural disasters, emergency state, warlike situation, mass riots around arrangement of the place of content of detainees or the place of content of arrested, and also mass disobedience of arrested or the imprisoned persons, real danger of attack on the place of content of detainees or the place of content of the detainees arrested in the place of content or in the place of content of arrested state of emergency can be declared.
State of emergency is declared and stopped by the head of authorized body for up to thirty days. In exceptional cases term can be prolonged up to thirty days, and in the anti-epidemic purposes - before disappearance of need for it.
In case of the announcement of emergency state implementation of number of the rights of detainees or the arrested persons established by this Law in the form of establishment of actions for the strengthened protection and supervision, acceptance of sending and transfer, packet, money transfers, restrictions of appointments, and also implementation of other actions established by the legislation can be suspended. Internal regulations of the place of content of detainees and the place of content of arrested in case of the announcement of emergency state establish the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
