About entering of amendments and changes into the Law of the Republic of Armenia "About the defender of human rights"

Accepted by National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on June 13, 2018

Article 1. ZR-1-N "About the defender of human rights" (further - the Law) to add article 2 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia of December 16, 2016 with part of the following content:

"4. The defender performs monitoring of application of provisions of the convention of the UN "About the rights of people with disabilities", accepted on December 13, 2006, and also prevention of violation and protection of the rights of persons with disability.".

Article 2. Regarding 3rd article 10 of the Law of the word "according to the law" to replace with the word "law".

Article 3. The first offer of part 4 of article 16 of the Law to state in the following edition:

"4. For the purpose of protection of the rights and freedoms of other person representatives of this person, his legal successor, the heir, guardianship and custody bodies - close relatives of children, incapacitated and restrictedly capable persons, and also persons imprisoned and the military personnel for the purpose of protection of their rights can address the Defender.".

Article 4. To state part 5 of article 17 of the Law in the following edition:

"5. The procedure for the address is established in real time by the Defender.".

Article 5. To declare part 2 of article 20 of the Law invalid.

Article 6. In article 21 of the Law:

1) the second offer of part 3 to state in the following edition: "The claim is not considered, and the consideration begun in connection with the claim stops also in that case when the question which is brought up during studying or consideration of the claim was solved, person on the same question which is brought up in it took a legal action, available final court resolution of court on this matter, or person whose presumable violation of the rights the claim concerned died, or the adjudication about its recognition took legal effect it is unknown absent or died.";
