For the purpose of enhancement of system of accounting, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decides increase in level of reliability of indications of measurement of amount of natural gas and ensuring efficiency of its use:

1. Approve the Concept of creation of single system of accounting of natural gas it (is applied).

2. To the Ministry of Fuel and Energy with participation of the Ministry of Economics, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, Ministry of industrial policy, the State committee on energy saving, the State committee of standardization, metrology and certification, the National commission on questions of regulation of power industry in three-months time to develop and approve the Program of creation of single system of accounting of natural gas.

Concept of creation of single system of accounting of natural gas

Ukraine on amounts of transportation and consumption of natural gas (further - gas) is high on the list in Europe. The gas-transport system has the extent of 35 thousand, gas-distributing - 225 thousand kilometers. Every year about 200 billion cubic meters are transported, nearly 18 billion cubic meters of gas are extracted. The project amount of underground gas storages represents 32 billion cubic meters.
