About introduction of amendments to the Law on approval of the Combined commodity nomenclature No. 172/2014

The Parliament adopts this organic law.

Art. I. - In the Law on approval of the Combined commodity nomenclature No. 172/2014 (Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2014, Art. No. 231-237, 529), with subsequent changes, to make the following changes:

1. In part (the articles I-1 of the word "is obligatory and" to exclude 4).

2. To state the article II of the law in the following edition:

"Art. II. - (1) For the purpose of ensuring single interpretation and application of provisions of this law to apply Explanatory notes of the International convention about the Harmonized commodity description and coding system of June 14, 1983 approved by World Customs Organization which party is the Republic of Moldova, and also the Explanations to the Combined commodity nomenclature developed by Customs Service.

(2) For the purpose of elimination of gaps, improvement/review of the national regulatory base applied in the course of classification of goods and avoidance of its ambiguous interpretation to create the Interdepartmental commission. Regulations on activities and structure of the Commission affirm the Government.".

3. Recognize article VIII invalid.

4. State appendix according to appendix to this law.

Art. II. - (1) This law becomes effective on January 1, 2019.

(2) to the Government in six-months time from the date of entry into force of this law:

a) provide to Parliament of the offer on reduction of the legislation to compliance with this law;

b) bring the regulations into accord with this law.

(3) the Goods items provided by the Combined commodity nomenclature before modification are applied before reduction of the legislation in compliance with this law.
