About the state support of innovative activities
This Law establishes legal, economic and organizational basis of stimulation of innovative activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan and determines measures of its state support.
In this Law the following basic concepts are used:
1) innovation - the result of scientific and technical activities which received realization in the form of new or advanced products (work, service) or technologies, having high-quality advantages when using in practical activities in comparison with the applied analogs and having economic and (or) public benefit;
2) innovative grant - the budgetary funds provided on the conditions provided by the agreement on innovative grant for accomplishment of developmental works and (or) risk researches of applied nature, preparation of the feasibility statement on the innovative project, patenting of intellectual property item in foreign states and (or) the international patent organizations, acquisitions of innovative technologies;
3) institutes of innovative development - the legal entities created according to the decision of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan in form of business of joint-stock company for support of innovative activities;
4) package of measures of innovative development - action for creation of conditions for implementation of innovative projects by institutes of innovative development;
5) the innovative project - complex of the actions directed to implementation of innovations and providing investments, and also realized during certain term of time and having complete nature;
6) innovative infrastructure - set of the organizations providing support of innovative activities;
