About introduction of the international bank account number (IBAN) in Ukraine

According to Articles 7, of 15, of 41, 56 Laws of Ukraine "About the National Bank of Ukraine", for the purpose of development of the payment market of Ukraine based on international standards, upgrade and further development of electronic payment system of the National Bank of Ukraine the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine DECIDES:

1. Banks of Ukraine since August 5, 2019:

1) financial transactions create bank account number according to the National standard of Ukraine ". Rules of forming of the international bank account number (IBAN) in Ukraine. (IBAN Registry:2009, NEQ) of DSTU-N 7167:2010", to No. 454 approved by the order of the State committee of Ukraine concerning technical regulation and consumer policy of October 11, 2010 (further - the IBAN standard);

2) during forming of bank account number according to the IBAN standard use structure of account number of analytics, requirements to which numbering are established in appendix 2 to the Instruction about application of the Chart of accounts of financial accounting of banks of Ukraine approved by the resolution of Board of the National Bank of Ukraine of September 11, 2017 No. 89 (with changes).

2. Banks of Ukraine during forming of bank account number are forbidden to use number of payment card.

3. Banks of Ukraine shall perform from August 5 to October 31, 2019 independently change (not at the initiative of the client) the operating customer accounts of banks according to requirements of the IBAN standard with preserving length of account number of analytics - no more than 14 symbols.
