About introduction of amendments to some laws of Ukraine concerning subordination of the religious organizations and the procedure of state registration of the religious organizations with the status of the legal entity

I. Make changes to such laws of Ukraine:

1. In the Law of Ukraine "About liberty of conscience and the religious organizations" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of USSR, 1991, No. 25, Art. 283; Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 1994, No. 13, Art. 66; 1996, No. 3, Art. 11; 1997, No. 8, Art. 62; 2014, No. 5, Art. 62):

Article 8 to state 1) in the following edition:

"Article 8. Religious community

The religious community is the local religious organization of the believing citizens of the same cult, religion, the direction, current or sense which voluntarily combined with the purpose of joint satisfaction of religious requirements.

Membership in religious community is based on the principles of free declaration of will, and also on requirements of the charter (provision) of religious community. The religious community on the discretion accepts new and excludes the existing members of community according to the procedure, established by its charter (provision).

The state recognizes the right of religious community to its subordination in canonical and organizational matters to any religious centers (managements) operating in Ukraine and beyond its limits and free change of this subordination by entering of corresponding changes into the charter (provision) of religious community. The decision on change of subordination and introduction of corresponding changes or amendments in the charter is accepted by general meeting of religious community. Such general meetings of religious community can be convened by her members.

The decision on change of subordination and introduction of corresponding changes or amendments in the charter is accepted by at least than two thirds of the number of members of religious community necessary for recognition authorized general meeting of religious community according to the charter (provision) of religious community.
