About state regulation of production and realization of sugar

This Law determines the legal, economic and organizational principles of state policy by production, export, import, wholesale and retail trade by sugar.

Article 1. Basic concepts and terms

For the purposes of this Law the following concepts and terms are used:

beet sugar complex - set of business entities of all patterns of ownership who grow up sugar beet are engaged in its conversion on sugar and enable its realization;

declaring of availability of sugar - representation by subjects of business activity who make sugar and store it for the subsequent realization, perform wholesale or retail trade by sugar, declarations on amount of the sugar which is in their property;

the domestic market quota of supply of sugar (quota "And") the maximum quantity of sugar for delivery to the domestic market from September 1 of the current year to September 1 of the next year for satisfaction of internal requirements;

minimum price of sugar beet - lower limit of the price in case of the conclusion of transactions of purchase and sale of sugar beet for production of sugar within quota "And";

minimum price of sugar - lower limit of the price in case of the conclusion of transactions of purchase and sale in the domestic market of Ukraine in amounts of quota "And";

wholesale trade by sugar - activities for acquisition and sale of sugar for its subsequent realization to retailers, other subjects of business activity;

retail trade by sugar - sugar sales activity to citizens and other consumers for their personal non-commercial use irrespective of form of calculations.
