About the government public assistance to persons with disability since the childhood and to children with disability

This Law according to the Constitution of Ukraine guarantees to persons with disability since the childhood and to children with disability right to maintenance at the expense of means of the Government budget of Ukraine and their social security by establishment of the government public assistance at the level of subsistence minimum.

Article 1. Right to the government public assistance

Persons with disability since the childhood and children with disability aged to 18 years have the right to the government public assistance.

The central executive body providing forming of state policy in spheres of employment relationships of social protection of the population concerning family and children organizes work concerning appointment and payment of the government public assistance to persons with disability since the childhood and to children with disability.

The reason, group of disability, term for which disability is established are determined by body of medico-social examination according to the legislation of Ukraine with simultaneous explanation to persons with disability since the childhood of their right to the government public assistance.

The list of the medical indications granting the right to the government public assistance on children with disability aged to 18 years is determined according to the procedure, established by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
