The purpose of this Law is regulation of the relations in the field of tourism.
The legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan on tourism consists of this Law and other acts of the legislation.
If the international treaty of the Republic of Uzbekistan establishes other rules, than those which are stipulated by the legislation the Republic of Uzbekistan about tourism then are applied rules of the international treaty.
In this Law the following basic concepts are applied:
the guide (guide-interpreter) - the physical person - the resident of the Republic of Uzbekistan, professionally prepared for rendering information and organizational services, acquaintance of tourists and tourists with tourist resources in the country (place) of temporary stay;
the instructor-conductor - the physical person - the resident of the Republic of Uzbekistan, professionally prepared for maintenance and safety of tourists and tourists on tourist routes;
independent tourism - the travel organized by tourists independently without participation of tour operators and travel agents;
subjects of the sphere of tourism - the legal entities and physical persons performing business activity on rendering complex or part of tourist services, accomplishment of the accompanying tourist services (works) and sales of goods to tourists and tourists;
tour - the travel along certain route to specific terms provided with the complex of tourist services including at least two types of tourist services;
tourism - departures (travel) of physical person from the permanent residence without occupation the activities connected with income acquisition from sources in the country (place) of temporary stay;
