The government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (further - the Parties),

confirming the commitment to the purposes and the principles of the Treaty of friendship and cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and Ukraine of January 20, 1994, being guided by the Agreement on joint ensuring preserving interstate secrets of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States of January 22, 1993,

aiming at the mutually beneficial long-term cooperation based on mutual respect, trust and accounting of interests of the states of the Parties proceeding from need of strengthening of defense capability of the states of the Parties, agreed as follows:

Article 1

The purpose of this agreement is development and regulation of military and technical cooperation between the states of the Parties.

Article 2

The parties consider military and technical cooperation as the activities based on provisions of national legal systems of the states of the Parties, approved in the field of scientific, production and material logistics of homeland security and defense capability of the states of the Parties.

Article 3

The parties perform military and technical cooperation in the following directions:

1) implementation of the approved developments, productions, upgrade and repair of arms, military equipment and other appliances for armed forces, other troops and military forming of the states of the Parties, actions for joint rational use of the available repair shops of defense industry complex for the purpose of upgrade of the existing samples of arms and military equipment, special individual protection equipment and development of their new types;

2) deliveries of arms, military equipment, spare parts, technical documentation and military and technical property according to the lists approved according to national legal systems of the states of the Parties;
