The government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the hereinafter referred to as Parties,

based on joint aspiration to development and deepening of mutually beneficial cooperation,

confirming readiness to promote development of new forms of bonds and services on the basis of long-term projects,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties expressed desire in development of cooperation in construction and reconstruction of the railroads in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, by the conclusion of direct contracts (contracts) between business entities of the Parties.

Article 2

Amounts of works and services, terms of their accomplishment and condition of settlement are determined by specific contracts (contracts) between business entities of the Parties.

Article 3

The parties will render assistance to business entities in implementation of settlement for the rendered contract services, providing measures for effective use of the available potential production and material resources of business entities of the Parties.

Article 4

Disputes between the Parties on interpretation and application of provisions of this agreement, and also disputes which affect the rights and obligations of the Parties will be solved by carrying out direct consultations and negotiations between the Parties.

Article 5

This agreement becomes effective from the date of receipt of the last written notice of accomplishment of the interstate procedures by the Parties necessary for its introduction in force, and is effective before the expiration of six months from the date of receipt of one of the Parties of the written notice of other Party of its intention to terminate this agreement.
