The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, hereinafter referred to as "Parties",

proceeding from the Contract on bases of the interstate relations, friendship and cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Ukraine, of August 25, 1992,

considering need of establishment of bilateral cooperation in the field of information,

for the purpose of further increasing knowledge of life in each of the countries, unbiased and shirokoplanovy interpretation of events in the Republic of Uzbekistan and in Ukraine,

for the purpose of achievement of bigger mutual understanding and trust between two countries and societies,

agreed about the following:

Article 1

The parties will perform exchange of information about events in domestic and foreign policy of the countries. Such exchange will be performed through Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Ukraine and Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The parties will perform it on the basis of reciprocity.

Article 2

Each of the Parties on the basis of reciprocity will promote distribution in the territory of newsletters, press releases and other publications by diplomatic and consular establishments of other Party according to the current legislation and the international obligations.

Article 3

The parties will help cooperation between organizations of television and broadcasting, news agencies, editions of periodicals, the creative unions of journalists and the certain staff of mass media of two countries.

Article 4

Each of the Parties will provide favorable conditions for correspondents of other Party, constantly accredited in each of the countries, and also correspondents who temporarily stay, respectively in the Republic of Uzbekistan and in Ukraine for the purpose of preparation of information and analytical materials.
