This Law establishes the legal basis of identification, registration, traceability of farm animals and animal products and promotes development and harmonization in the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States (further - the CIS) the relevant legislation, determines the basic principles of identification, registration, traceability of farm animals, identifications and traceabilities of animal products, the purposes, tasks and procedure for their implementation.
Features of identification, registration, traceability of farm animals and animal products can be established by the national legal system of the State Parties of the CIS.
1. This Law governs the relations arising in case of cultivation, cultivation, content, movement, slaughter, realization and other use of the farm animals determined by this Law and also the relations connected with production and sales of products of animal origin.
2. Operation of this Law does not extend: on the relations arising when using farm animals (groups of farm animals) by physical persons for own needs without generation of profit; on animal products which production is performed by physical persons for own needs without generation of profit.
In this Law the following main terms and determinations are used:
the owner of farm animal (group of farm animals) - the legal entity or physical person, including the individual entrepreneur having on the property right, economic maintaining, operational management or other legal cause farm animal (group of farm animals);
group of farm animals - two and more farm animals of one type and one breed containing on one livestock object and identified by group method;
