About introduction of amendments to the Criminal code of the Republic of Armenia

Article 1. Of April 18, 2003 (further - the Code) to exclude the word "297" from part 3 of article 292 of the Criminal code of the Republic of Armenia.

Article 2. To state article 296 of the Code in the following edition:

"Article 296. Illegal cutting down of trees, bushes and vegetable cover or movement of trees, bushes without the permission

1. Illegal cutting down or destruction of trees, bushes on forest lands, and also in the territories which are not entering forest lands either cutting down or destruction of trees, bushes which cutting down is prohibited, movement of trees, bushes without the permission, destruction or damage of the vegetable cover which is considered as the state-owned, municipal property or property of other persons to extent of the termination of growth if these actions caused essential damage or are made within year after purpose of administrative penalty for the same action:

are punished by penalty in the amount of five hundredfold to the thousandfold size of minimum wage, or deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or to be engaged in certain activities from two to five years, either arrest no more than three months, or imprisonment no more than two years.

2. Same acts, committed:

1) with use of official capacity;

2) in especially protected natural territories or in zone of environmental disaster or emergency ecological state;

3) with drawing major damage;

4) concerning trees or the vegetable cover registered in the Red List of plants of the Republic of Armenia;

5) group of persons or organized group;
