About approval of Strategy for transition of the Republic of Uzbekistan to "green" economy for 2019 - 2030
In the country the complex measures directed to deepening of structural transformations, upgrade and diversification of key branches of economy and the balanced social and economic development of the territories are implemented.
On July 8-9 the current year in Tashkent the Regional ministerial conference of the countries of Europe and the CIS on "green" economy directed to enhancement of regulatory framework and policy for "green" economy, encouragement of innovative "green" investments through partnership between the state and private sectors is held.
At the same time the carried-out analysis showed availability of the interconnected problems and requirements when providing effective, resource-saving and ecologically safe economy in the conditions of climate change.
In particular, the accelerated industrialization and growth of population significantly increase the need of economy for resources, and also strengthen negative anthropogenous impact on the environment and growth of emissions of greenhouse gases.
Low level of energy efficiency of economy, irrational consumption of natural resources, slow updating of technologies, weak participation of small business in implementation of innovative solutions for development of "green" economy interfere with achievement of the first-priority national purposes and tasks in the field of sustainable development of the country.
Lack of long-term strategy does not allow to provide acceptance of system measures for implementation of "green" technologies and to transition to "green" economy.
For the purpose of consecutive realization of the tasks determined by the Strategy of actions by five priority directions of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017 - 2021 and also ensuring accomplishment of obligations of the Parisian agreement (Paris, on December 12, 2015) and transition of the Republic of Uzbekistan to "green" economy:
