About introduction of amendments to some laws of Ukraine in connection with entry into force of the Law of Ukraine "About the state support of cinematography in Ukraine"

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

I. Make changes to such laws of Ukraine:

1. In the Law of Ukraine "About local self-government in Ukraine" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 1997, No. 24, Art. 170 with subsequent changes):

Part one of Article 26 to add 1) with Items 25-1 and 37-1 of the following content:

"25-1) formation of local funds of financial support of cinematography, including programs of grant, competitive or out-of-competition support of cinematography, determination of conditions and procedure for use of these funds";

"37-1) decision making about creation of the film commissions, the organizations of the territories and objects as attractive locations for filmings, and also effective use of potential of the Ukrainian service industry in the field of cinematography, forming of base of the corresponding objects, determination of conditions of their use";

The Item "and" of Article 27 to add 2) with subitems 2-1 - 2-3 such contents:

"2-1) ensuring promoting and effective use of the territories and objects for needs of cinematography, development of local programs of financial support of cinematography and local programs of use of potential of the local service industry in the field of cinematography, holding actions of the kinokomisiya directed to promotion (advertizing) of the corresponding territories and objects, ensuring cooperation with the film commissions of other territorial communities;

2-2) appeal to the central executive body realizing state policy in the field of cinematography, Council for the state support of cinematography concerning receipt of government subsidies for holding actions of the film commissions directed to promoting of Ukraine and its regions as attractive locations for creation of cinema products and audiovisual works, and also for holding actions of the film commissions directed to promotion (advertizing) of national movies in settlements of territorial community which have no the operating movie theaters;
