About introduction of amendments to the Law of Ukraine "About judicial system and the status of judges" and some laws of Ukraine concerning activities of bodies of judicial self-government

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

I. Make changes to such laws of Ukraine:

1. In the Law of Ukraine "About judicial system and the status of judges" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2016, No. 31, Art. 545 with subsequent changes):

1) in part one of Article 37 of the word "no more than two hundred" shall be replaced with words "no more than hundred";

Part one of Article 92 to state 2) in the following edition:

"1. The highest qualification commission of judges of Ukraine is the state collegiate organ of judicial self-government which acts on the permanent basis in justice system of Ukraine";

3) in Article 93 part one:

state Item 6 in the following edition:

"6) approves in coordination with the Supreme council of justice form and content of the statement for participation in candidate screen on judgeship, questionnaires of the candidate for judgeship, procedure for passing of special training of candidates for judgeship";

add with Item 6-1 of the following content:

"6-1) develops and submits for approval to the Supreme council of justice projects of procedure for passing selection examination and technique of estimation of its results, procedure for passing qualification examination and technique of assessment of candidates, regulations on carrying out tender on occupation of vacant position of the judge, procedure and methodology of qualification estimation, procedure for forming and maintaining the judicial file (file of the candidate for judgeship)";

Articles 94 and 95 to state 4) in the following edition:

"Article 94. Members of the Highest qualification commission of judges of Ukraine

1. Twelve members who are appointed by the Supreme council of justice by results of tender for a period of four years are part of the Highest qualification commission of judges of Ukraine.
