This Law is directed to effective use of the potential, scientific and technical and export potential of armored industry of Ukraine and increase in its competitiveness, creating favorable conditions for investment attraction, cost reductions on production of armored fighting vehicles for needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and foreign customers and replenishment of current assets of the companies of concern "Armored vehicles of Ukraine" of contractors of the state defense order and the international sales contracts of armored fighting vehicles.
Recognize armored industry of one of priority in the industry of Ukraine and grant the right to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to act on behalf of the state as the guarantor of accomplishment of obligations of the companies of Armored Vehicles of Ukraine concern to foreign customers of armored fighting vehicles for the external economic agreements (contracts).
For the period the following measures of the state support of armored industry of Ukraine are entered from January 1, 2001 to January 1, 2006:
