About introduction of amendments to article 321-1 of the Criminal code of Ukraine concerning strengthening of responsibility for falsification of medicines or the address of counterfeited medicines

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

I. Bring in article 321-1 of the Criminal code of Ukraine (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2001, Art. No. 25-26, 131) such changes:

1. In the paragraph the second shall be replaced with words parts one of the word "from three to five years" "from five to eight years".

2. In part two:

the paragraph one after words "group of persons" to add with the words "or the official by abuse of official position, the health or pharmaceutical worker, or by means of information systems, including the Internet";

state paragraph two in the following edition:

"are punished by imprisonment for a period of eight up to ten years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or to be engaged in certain activities for a period of up to three years and with confiscation of property".

3. To state paragraph two of part three in the following edition:

"are punished by imprisonment for a period of ten up to fifteen years or lifelong imprisonment, with confiscation of property".

II. This Law becomes effective from the date of, its publication following behind day.
