The purpose of this Law is regulation of the relations in the field of the organization and implementation of volunteer activities.
The legislation on volunteer activities consists of this Law and other acts of the legislation.
If the international treaty of the Republic of Uzbekistan establishes other rules, than those which are stipulated by the legislation the Republic of Uzbekistan about volunteer activities then are applied rules of the international treaty.
In this Law the following basic concepts are applied:
the volunteer - the physical person performing volunteer activities;
group of volunteers - the voluntary group of persons consisting to ten people, formed for the purpose of joint implementation of volunteer activities to which the regulations established by this Law extend;
the coordinator of volunteers - the physical person designated by the organizer of volunteer activities, the volunteer organization or elected the volunteers who are part of group of volunteers, responsible for the organization of work of volunteers, coordination and control of their activities;
volunteering - implementation of voluntary activities by citizens, their groups or the volunteer organizations for the benefit of physical and (or) legal entities;
the volunteer share - the one-time action directed to the solution of specific socially directed, socially useful objective which is carried out by the volunteer organization, volunteers or group of volunteers;
the volunteer organization - the non-state non-profit organization created and performing volunteer activities according to the legislation;
