About modification of some legal acts
The Parliament adopts this organic law.
Art. I. – Article 64 of the Law on provision of pensions of the military personnel and persons of the commanding and ordinary structure of law-enforcement bodies and the General inspectorate of carabineers No. 1544/1993 (repeated publication: 2010, 752), with subsequent changes to state the official monitor of the Republic of Moldova to Art. No. 247-251, in the following edition:
"Article 64. Indexation of pensions
The pensions granted according to this law are indexed according to the procedure, the stipulated in Article 13 Laws on the public pension system No. 156/1998. Indexation is performed at the expense of means of the government budget.".
Art. II. – In the Law on the public pension system No. 156/1998 (repeated publication: The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2004, Art. No. 42-44, 247), with subsequent changes to make the following changes:
1. State Article 13 in the following edition:
"Article 13. Indexation of pensions
(1) Pensions are indexed annually since April 1 and since October 1. Since October 1 pensions which as of the corresponding date do not exceed subsistence minimum for persons are indexed is more senior than retirement age in the first half of the year of the current year.
The coefficient of indexation makes the annual average growth of consumer price indexes for the last three years determined according to the procedure, established by the Government.
(2) the Difference provided by part (3) Articles 12, it is indexed annually with payment of the amount of indexation from means of the government budget.".
2. In part (4) Article 34 of the word "50 percent of the granted pension-from the government budget." shall be replaced with words "50 percent granted and afterwards index-linked pension – from the government budget.".
Art. III. – (1) This law becomes effective since January 1, 2020.
