About introduction of amendments to the Law of Ukraine "About pre-trial detention" concerning providing easy access of representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross to persons detained

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

I. Article 12 of the Law of Ukraine "About pre-trial detention" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 1993, No. 35, Art. 360; 2011, No. 50, Art. 548; 2013, No. 21, Art. 208; 2015, 28, the Art. 254) after part four to add No. with new part of such content:

"The appointment to persons detained is provided to representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross by administration of the place of pre-trial detention freely, without restriction of number of such appointments and their duration, in cases and according to conditions of the Geneva conventions of 1949 on protection of the victims of war with the notification of the investigator or the court performing criminal proceedings in time, free from accomplishment of investigative actions and judicial sessions".

II. Final provisions

1. This Law becomes effective from the date of, its publication following behind day.

2. To the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in a month from the date of entry into force of this Law:

bring the regulatory legal acts into accord with this Law;

provide reduction by the ministries and other central executive bodies of their regulatory legal acts in compliance with this Law.
