About modification of article 6 of the Law of Ukraine "About the status of veterans of war, guarantees of their social protection" concerning providing the rights of the military personnel of Naval forces and Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on receipt of participant status of fighting

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

I. Part one of article 6 of the Law of Ukraine "About the status of veterans of war, guarantees of their social protection" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 1993, No. 45, Art. 425 with subsequent changes) to add with Item 22 following of content:

"22) members of crews of the ships, motor boats, support vessels, airplanes and helicopters, persons who, being onboard the ships, motor boats, support vessels, airplanes (helicopters) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Border Service of Ukraine and National guard of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, Public service of Ukraine on emergency situations, carried out fighting (office) tasks on protection of independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine in the conditions of direct contact and fire contact with military forming of foreign states and illegal armed groups.

The procedure for provision and deprivation of participant status of fighting of persons specified in paragraph one of this Item is determined by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine".

II. Final and transitional provisions

1. This Law becomes effective since January 1, 2020.

2. Operation of this Law extends to the legal relationship which arose since the beginning of temporary occupation of part of the territory of Ukraine (on February 20, 2014).

3. To the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in a month from the date of entry into force of this Law:

bring the regulatory legal acts into accord with this Law;

provide reduction by the ministries and other central executive bodies of their regulatory legal acts in compliance with this Law.
