About modification and amendments in the Law "About Prosecutor's Office"

Article 1. In article 23 of the Law of November 17, 2017 No. ZR-198 "About prosecutor's office" (further - the Law):

Part 3 to state 1) in the following edition:

"3. The qualification commission consists of nine members, and in case of the open tender held for the purpose of replenishment of the candidate list to position of the prosecutor, performing the functions provided by the Law of the Republic of Armenia "About confiscation of property of illegal origin" (further - functions on confiscation of property of illegal origin) - of eleven members. The rector of academy of justice, one deputy attorney general appointed by the Attorney-General, four prosecutors and three scientists-lawyers, and in case of the open tender held for the purpose of replenishment of the candidate list to the prosecutor's position, the performing functions on confiscation of property of illegal origin - also two experts who are appointed by the Attorney-General are part of the Qualification commission. Experts shall have at least three years of experience of scientific or practical work in the field of return of illegal assets or investigation of corruption crimes.

The deputy attorney general directs the qualification commission.";

2) part 5 after the words "for a period of 5 years" to add with words ", except for two experts who are appointed for a period of one year".

Article 2. In article 29 of the Law:

Part 1 to add 1) with item 4 of the following content:

"4) initiation of the claim for confiscation of property based on the Law of the Republic of Armenia "About confiscation of property of illegal origin".";

2) part 2 to add with Item 3 following of content:

"3) by results of the studying performed based on the Law of the Republic of Armenia "About confiscation of property of illegal origin" there are bases for initiation of the claim for confiscation of property.";
