About cooperation in the field of migration
The government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan which are hereinafter referred to as by the Parties
for the purpose of development and strengthening of the friendly and partner relations existing between the states of the Parties, bilateral cooperation on the basis of mutual respect, sovereignty, equality and mutual understanding
considering cooperation in the field of migration as one of the most important directions of regulation of migratory processes in the territories of the states of the Parties,
aiming to create the legal basis for bilateral cooperation of the Parties in the field of migration,
understanding that illegal migration represents serious threat of homeland security, economic stability and promotes complication of criminogenic situation in the territories of the states of the Parties,
based on rules of international law and the legislation of the states of the Parties,
agreed as follows:
Within this agreement of the Party perform cooperation in the field of migration, protection of the rights of citizens of the state of one Party which are in the territory of the state of other Party including information exchange, according to the legislation and the international obligations of the states.
The competent authorities of the states of the Parties responsible for implementation of this agreement (further - competent authorities), are:
from the Republic of Belarus - the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, the State boundary committee of the Republic of Belarus;
from the Republic of Kazakhstan - the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the population of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In case of change of names of competent authorities, the relevant Party reports replacements of one state bodies with others to other Party about it through diplomatic channels in perhaps short terms.
